Professional Learning Network (TEC 591 GCU)

This blog post is about my personal learning network, how I plan to continue my educational grow in technology, what resources I will use and the people who will help me continue to grow and learn.  

The plan is simple:

• Step One- Find three or more people who will support me in continuing my eduction in technology. 
• Step Two- Join online communities that are about education technology for elementary teachers.
• Step Three- Follow Blogs, Pod Casts, and read authors that support my continued learning in technology.  
• Find some new topics of interest in educational technology.

Personal Network(the people who will keep accountable)

• Ms. Widell, she is a sixth-grade teacher at the district I work for.  She and I will graduate from GCU with masters in curriculum and instruction emphasis in technology.  Ms. Widell has already started a technology club at her school site.  We are friends who see each other weekly. We both are passionate about being active learners and we will both keep each other accountable.  
• Mrs. Herrnadez, she is a teacher on special assignment for technology in my district.  She is at our sites monthly.  I can schedule at least one hour with her monthly. She is currently working on her doctorate she is a wonderful person who asks me each time I see her what is the newest thing I have learned. 
• Mrs. Rodgriguez, she is a teacher at my site who is our technology lead.  I see her daily, she and I are already working together.  She has some great ideas how to use Google classroom with the younger grade.  She is always wanting to share and is also encouraging me to learn new technologies.
• Mrs. Martinez is another teacher on special assignment for my school district.  She is currently my mentor.  I see her weekly she at my school every Wednesday. She is always up to date on the newest happenings at our district and she will encourage me to continue my learning.  

"The Experts" (These are the experts on the subject matters that I will continue to learn from.) 

• Kathy Nelson a blogger who talks about integrating technology into her classroom and uses her own personal experiences to help others in the education field.

• Vicki Davis- Cool Cat Teacher  blog she is not only a blogger but has Podcast as well. Vicki is a full-time classroom teacher and her school's IT director.  She addresses many issues regarding technology.

• Tammara- Teaching Blogg Addict is a blog site that has over 1,000 blogs on teaching and this number is growing daily.  I also follow them on FaceBook and can join in any conversation I like. Also I can blog on the site if I become a member.
